A pedestrian has died following a collision in Springvale this afternoon.
It’s understood the pedestrian was crossing the Princes Highway, near Smith Street, when she was struck by a vehicle travelling northbound shortly after 2pm.
Sadly, the yet to be formally identified pedestrian died at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle stopped to render assistance.
The intersection is expected to be closed for some time while police investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
