Perth market snapshot for week ending 12 April 2020

Sales activity decreased five per cent in Perth this week, withREIWA members reporting264transactions.

This decrease can be attributed to a0.5per cent fall in house sales, 5.4per centincreasein unit sales and 41.5per centdecreasein vacant land sales over the week.

Properties for sale

There were 12,273 properties for sale in Perth at the end of this week, which is0.7per cent lower than last week.

A closer look at listing stock levels shows house listings decreased by one percent, listings for units decreased by0.3per cent and vacant land listings decreased by0.3per cent.

Thisweek’stotal figure for properties listed for sale isthreeper centlowerthan levels seen four weeksago andis 28per cent lower than levels seen a year ago.

Perth rental market

REIWA members reported there were 5,641properties for rent in Perth at the end of this week, which is3.8per centmorethan last week.

This week’s rental listings figure isthreeper centlowerthan levels seen four weeks ago and is19per cent lower than levels seen a year ago.

Leasing activity decreased19.9per cent in Perth this week, with REIWA members reporting659properties leased.
