Perth motorists advised to top up before price hike 30 June

The average price of regular unleaded petrol (ULP) is set to increase by around 28 cents per litre (cpl) to 134.9 cpl tomorrow, so FuelWatch is encouraging Perth drivers, if they can, to fill up today to save money.

FuelWatch advises that on Wednesday 1 July 2020, most branded retailers are hiking their ULP price: Coles Express hiking by up to 40 cpl up to 145.9 cpl; Caltex Woolworths, 7-Eleven, BP and Caltex up to 141.9 cpl; Puma up to 139.7 cpl; and Vibe up to 135.7 cpl.

Perth’s weekly petrol price cycle results in prices, on average, being cheapest on Monday and Tuesday and at their most expensive on Wednesday and Thursday – that’s why FuelWatch recommends filling up today.

If you need to fill up tomorrow, use FuelWatch as there are still over 25 sites selling below 108 cpl. The difference between the highest and lowest priced sites is 46 cpl, which means you can save up to $27 on a 60 litre tank of fuel.

Tuesday’s cheapest ULP is available for:

  • 103.7 cpl at 7-Eleven Midvale, Puma Bellevue, Puma Gingers, Puma Glen Forrest, Puma Kalamunda, Puma Lesmurdie, Puma Midvale, Puma Mundaring, Puma Sawyers Valley, Puma Wattle Grove and Puma Yule-Du Roadhouse in the East;
  • 98.7 cpl at Costco Perth Airport in the South; and
  • 101.7 cpl at 7-Eleven Landsdale, 7-Eleven Wangara, 7-Eleven Wanneroo and 7-Eleven Wanneroo South in the North.

Wednesday’s cheapest ULP will be available for:

  • 105.9 cpl at FastFuel 24/7 in the East;
  • 99.7 cpl at Costco Perth Airport in the South; and
  • 101.9 cpl at United Osborne Park in the North.
