During Local Government Week 2023 our team is sharing their pet adoption stories to raise awareness about responsible pet ownership and the joy that adopting a pet can bring to your life.
Amy our Business Support Officer adopted this gorgeous kitten Chole in May 2022 from the Kempsey Pound after finding out about pet adoption from the Kempsey Rangers.
“I went to Kempsey pound and fell in love with (Chloe) and knew I had to bring her home”. Said Amy who fell in love with Chole’s beautiful gentle nature.
Amy’s advice to someone considering pet adoption:
“Adopt before you shop. The animals in the pound just want to be loved and go to a great home which is why I adopted my cat I wanted to give her a great home and the love she deserves.”
“The decision to adopt was much easier knowing it cost much less, being the price of chipping, registration and desexing.”
