Police appeal to locate child missing from Lakemba

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a girl missing from Lakemba.

Saniya Nusrath, aged 6, was last seen at a school on Hampden Road, Lakemba, about 3pm today (Monday 8 May 2023).

When she could not be located, officers attached to Campsie Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Police and family hold serious concerns for her welfare due to her age.

Saniya is described as being of Indian Sub-Continental appearance, about 90cm tall, of slim build, with medium-length black hair.

She was last seen wearing a yellow jacket, a blue school dress and carrying a blue school bag.

Saniya does not speak fluent English but should respond to the name ‘Bibi’.

Anyone with information into her whereabouts is urged to call Campsie Police Area Command or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
