Police appeal to locate man missing from Belmore 4 July

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from Sydney’s southwest.

Alex Maitai, aged 28, was last seen leaving a home on St Clair Street, Belmore, about 5pm yesterday (Monday 3 July 2023).

When he failed to return and could not be contacted, officers from Campsie Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for his welfare due to a medical condition.

He is described as being of East Asian appearance, between 165cm to 170cm tall, of a medium build, and with medium length black hair.

He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants, and carrying a small bag.

It’s believed Alex may have been travelling by train to the Bankstown area.

He is known to frequent the Belmore and Bankstown areas.

Anyone with information of his whereabouts is urged to contact police.
