Police appeal to locate man missing from Kellyville

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from Kellyville.

Jahja (John) Wijanto, aged 75, was last seen at a home in Redden Drive, about 6pm yesterday (Saturday 8 July 2023).

When he could not be found, family reported him missing about 7.30pm.

Officers attached to The Hills Police Area Command have commenced inquiries into Mr Wijanto’s whereabouts and hold concerns for his welfare due to weather conditions and that he lives with dementia.

He is described as being of Asian appearance, 162cm tall, with a thin build, balding grey hair and is unshaven. When last seen he was wearing black trousers, a dark green jacket, and grey shoes.

Mr Wijanto may be trying to get to Quakers Hill and may attempt to use public transport. He may appear confused or disoriented. He speaks English and Indonesian.

Anyone who may have seen Mr Wijanto or has information of his whereabouts is urged to contact Castle Hill Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
