Police appeal to locate missing man – Surry Hills 9 January

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from Sydney’s CBD.

Jafar Helfi, aged 33, was last seen in Surry Hills on Wednesday 15 November 2023.

Unable to be located or contacted by family, officers from Cumberland Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Family and police hold serious concerns for Jafar’s welfare as reports suggest he may be homeless.

Jafar is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, about 170cm tall, of a medium build, has tanned skin, short black hair, a black beard, and black eyes.

Anyone who may have seen Jafar or has information of his whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
