Northern Territory Police are investigating the circumstances of a fatal crash which occurred in Alice Springs this evening.
Three people have died as a result of a serious crash involving two vehicles in Sadadeen. Two people sustained injuries and have been conveyed to Alice Springs Hospital for medical treatment.
At this time it appears the driver of one vehicle evaded an attempted police traffic stop, drove away at speed and later crashed. A critical incident investigation has been initiated.
Detectives from Southern Investigations and the Major Crash Investigation Unit are investigating. Sadadeen Road will remain closed overnight. Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes.
