Police arrest driver in Pursuit at Ingle Farm, South Australia

A man has been arrested following a pursuit at Ingle Farm this morning.

Just before 10am on Thursday 10 June, police attempted to stop and speak to the occupants of a Ford sedan acting suspiciously in Belalie Road. The driver refused to stop and was pursued onto Montague Road and into the back streets of Pooraka.

As it travelled into Rains Drive, two passengers got out of the car and ran, and the Ford continued on.

The Ford was then involved in a collision with three cars and a bus at the intersection of Bridge Road and Montague Road however, the driver did not stop. Thankfully no one was injured.

Police continued to pursue the car west along Montague Road and then south on Main North Road, through the Gepps Cross intersection and into the back streets of Enfield.

As the driver turned into Eddy Street, the car hit a kerb and lost its front wheel. The driver then abandoned the vehicle and ran off but was quickly arrested by patrols.

A 20-year-old man from Modbury has been arrested and is currently being interviewed by police.

Police patrols returned to search the Pooraka area for the two passengers. Officers located two men in a rear yard at Lock Crescent who were arrested on outstanding warrants and taken to Elizabeth Police Station. Police investigations are continuing.
