Police arrest four after conducting drug raids in western suburbs, South Australia

Detectives from Serious and Organised Crime Branch and Western District Criminal Investigation Branch attended and searched a number of addresses yesterday as part of a protracted drug investigation.

Police attended and searched properties in St Clair, Pennington, Woodville Gardens and Woodville Park where they located and seized 40 grams of methamphetamine, five pounds of cannabis, a small amount of heroin and suboxone strips, assorted prohibited/dangerous weapons including dagger, crossbow, taser, nunchucks, throwing star and hundreds of rounds of assorted ammunition and firearm magazines.

Police arrested:

  • a 46-year-old man from St Clair and charged with trafficking in a controlled drug and trafficking in a large commercial quantity of drugs;
  • a 46-year-old man from Pennington was charged with trafficking in a controlled drug;
  • a 53-year-old man from Pennington was charged with trafficking in a large commercial quantity of controlled drug;
  • a 54-year-old woman from Alberton was charged with trafficking in a controlled drug.

All four were refused bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
