Police have arrested a man after a bagsnatch at Blair Athol a short time ago.
A man grabbed a woman’s handbag near the intersection of Barton Street and Florence Avenue, Blair Athol, just after 1pm on Friday 1 November and ran off.
The woman was not physically injured, but was shaken by the incident.
A witness tracked the suspect to a nearby Blair Athol address and called police.
Patrols surrounded the address and located the suspect in the backyard. The bag has been returned to the victim.
A 26-year-old Elizabeth man was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery. He is currently being interviewed by detectives.
