Police arrest man for dangerous driving in Broadmeadows

Hume police arrested a man after a series of dangerous driving incidents in Broadmeadows Saturday afternoon.

Officers were called after numerous reports of a black Nissan utility allegedly driving on the wrong side of the road and endangering pedestrians on Pascoe Vale Road about 1.20pm.

It is alleged the ute continued to drive erratically and was involved in a hit-run collision at the intersection of the Hume Highway and Somerset Road, Campbellfield around 2.05pm.

Police arrested a man in King Street, Dallas late Saturday afternoon in relation to the matter.

Luckily no one was injured during the incidents.

A 23-year-old Dallas man was charged with 14 offences, including reckless conduct endangering life, reckless conduct endangering serious injury, driving in a manner dangerous, traffic and bail offences.

He was remanded to appear at the Broadmeadows Magistrates’ Court on 23 May 2022.
