A man has been arrested following a number of suspicious fires believed to be deliberately lit within Jells Park, Glen Waverley this afternoon.
Emergency Services were called to the Waverley Road park just after 12.30pm where all persons within the park were evacuated.
Officers arrested a 19-year-old Mulgrave man in the park shortly later.
The Mulgrave man is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
No one was injured during the incident.
