Police arrest three after Norwood assault

Three men have been arrested after an investigation into a serious assault at Norwood.

It will be alleged that about 8.05pm on Sunday 23 July members of the public reported a violent incident occurring near the intersection of The Parade and Queen Street, Norwood involving a group of men. Police attended the incident but were unable to locate the men.

A subsequent investigation was conducted by the Crime Gangs Task Force and this morning (Thursday 3 August) investigators from the Serious and Organised Crime Branch conducted a search of a Rosslyn Park property.

Three men from Rosslyn Park aged 41, 37 and 28 were arrested and charged with aggravated assault causing harm. During the search approximately four ounces of cocaine and a semi-automatic handgun were located.

The 37 year old man has also been charged with possessing a firearm without a licence and trafficking a commercial quantity of a controlled drug. He has been refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court later today. The 41 and 28-year-old men have been bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 6 October.
