Police arrest two in Woodville North, South Australia

Good work by patrols and Police Dog’s Havoc and Judge have led to the arrested of two people at Woodville North this morning.

About 3.50am, Monday 28 December, police spotted a green Mazda on Regency Road , Kilkenny.

Checks reveled the car had been stolen from Blair Athol on Sunday 27 December. Patrols attempted to stop the car but the driver refused to stop.

The patrol pursed the car for a short distance before terminating for safety reasons. The car was last seen on Port Road near Croydon.

Just after 4am, police responded to reports of a car crashing into a fence and two people running from it on York Place, Woodville North.

Patrols cordoned off the area and called in PD’s Havoc and Judge to sniff out the runners.

A man and a teenage girl were located uninjured in the rear yard of a home on Edgecombe Street, Woodville North.

A 31-year-old man from Nailsworth was arrested and charged with driving dangerously to escape police pursuit, illegal use of a motor vehicle and driving without a licence.

A 16-year-old girl from Elizabeth Downs was arrested and charged with illegal use of a motor vehicle.

They have both been refused police bail and are expected to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow.
