Police arrest two over child exploitation, South Australia

A man and woman from Adelaide’s northern suburbs have been arrested in connection with child exploitation.

Detectives from the SA Joint Anti Child Exploitation Team (SA JACET) a partnership between SAPOL’s Public Protection Branch and the Australian Federal Police yesterday, (Thursday 28 November) arrested a 38- year-old man from the northern suburbs for allegedly Communicating with intent of procuring a child to engage in a sexual act, Produce Child Exploitation Material and Disseminate Child Exploitation Material.

Police also arrested a 40-year-old woman also from the northern suburbs for Produce Child Exploitation Material, Produce Child Exploitation Material and Disseminate Child Exploitation Material

Police will allege that both offenders are known to each other and the alleged offending is aggravated involving a child under the aged of 10 years related to the arrested woman.

The child has been removed from danger and is now safe.

Both suspects were refused police bail, with the man facing the Adelaide Magistrates Court today, while the woman is expected to to appear before the Elizabeth Magistrates Court today.

The investigation is ongoing.
