Mirrabooka Detectives have charged a man as a result of their investigation into an assault that occurred in Westminster during the early hours of Wednesday morning, 27 February 2019.
It will be alleged around 5:30am, the man grabbed a woman in hers 20s who was walking along a pathway on Wanneroo Road, near Amberley Way. It will also be alleged he grabbed her from behind and dragged her to the ground. As she attempted to push the man away he punched her several times to the face.
The 28-year-old man from Clarkson has been charged with:-
• Deprivation of Liberty; and
• Assault Occasioning Bodily Harm.
He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court (Northbridge) today, 2 March 2019.
