A special behind the scenes look at the Victoria Police Mounted Branch could be just a splash of colour and careful stroke inside the line away, following the launch of another fun competition.
Victoria Police is excited to once again be running the Chief Commissioner’s Colouring Competition, now in its fourth year.
The colouring competition kicked off this week and kids again have the choice of bringing three police-inspired designs to life.
The designs include a police motorcycle and officer, Protective Services Officers on patrol at a train station and a police officer with a police dog.
Over the past four years the competition has seen hundreds of colourful entries from across the state, including from schools, kindergartens and early learning centres.
The grand prize for winning the colouring competition this year is a tour of the Victoria Police Mounted Branch headquarters with Chief Commissioner Graham Ashton and the opportunity to meet a handler from the Dog Squad and their dog.
At least one winner will be picked from the following age groups to receive this exciting prize:
• 2 – 4 years-old
• 5 – 7 years-old
• 8 – 12 years-old
The colouring competition aims to foster the creative talents of young people while also prompting discussion about issues such as personal safety and the role that police play in keeping the community safe.
The Chief Commissioner’s Colouring Competition is open to all Victorian residents with entries closing on Friday, 26 April 2019.
