Police charge four after Fawkner Embona warrants

Detectives from Fawkner Embona have charged four people following a week-long operation targeting linked offending in the northern and western suburbs.

The operation commenced after an outstanding stolen Ford Mustang was spotted on the Tullamarine Freeway in Pascoe Vale on 27 April.

Investigators executed search warrants at addresses in Tarneit, Avondale Heights, Docklands, and Essendon on 28 April.

Further warrants were executed in Seabrook on 29 April, Greenvale on 30 April, and Braybrook on 1 May.

Items seized during the warrants included:

• a quantity of substances alleged to be drugs including cocaine, methylamphetamine, steroids, and ecstasy;

• three outstanding stolen vehicles;

• a large sum of cash;

• three firearms.

A 22-year-old Tarneit man was charged with reckless conduct endanger serious injury, prohibited person possess firearm, two counts of theft of motor vehicle, fraudulently identify motor vehicle, theft, handle stolen goods, possess a drug of dependence, and possess cartridge ammunition without licence or permit

He was remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 26 May.

A 29-year-old Tarneit woman was charged with possess a drug of dependence, theft of motor vehicle, handle stolen goods, and fraudulently identify motor vehicle; and was bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court 25 August.

A 24-year-old Melbourne Man was charged with possess a drug of dependence and possess cartridge ammunition without licence or permit and was bailed to attend Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 27 August.

A 27-year-old Seabrook man was charged with traffick a drug of dependence, prohibited person possess firearm, theft of motor vehicle, deal property suspected proceeds of crime, commit indictable offence on bail, possess cartridge ammunition without licence or permit.

He was remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 27 November
