Police charge man after armed robbery – Quakers Hill

A man will face Court after being charged with the alleged armed robbery of a Quakers petrol station last night.

About 11.00pm last night (Wednesday 7 June 2023), police were called to a service station on Quakers Hill Parkway, Quakers Hill, following reports of an armed robbery.

On arrival, officers from Riverstone Police Area Command were told that a male staff member was threatened by a man armed with a knife, who allegedly demanded cash and cigarettes.

The armed man fled on foot.

The staff member was not physically injured during the incident.

A crime scene was established and police commenced an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.

A short time later, police attended an address on Wilson Road, Acacia Gardens.

Officers arrested a 21-year-old man, who was taken to Riverstone Police Station.

The man was charged with robbery whilst armed with offensive weapon.

He was refused bail to appear at Blacktown Local Court today (Thursday 8 June 2023).
