Police charge man after Bendigo farm thefts

Campaspe Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following a series of alleged thefts from rural properties in the Bendigo region.

It is alleged the man stole vintage gates and antique items from rural properties in the Loddon, Bendigo and Campaspe region from 30 September 2019 to 5 April this year.

Detectives arrested the 55-year-old man at his Woodvale property yesterday and have since charged him with 17 counts of theft and two counts of handle stolen goods.

He was bailed to appear at Echuca Magistrates’ Court on 15 July.
