Homicide Squad detectives have charged a man following the death of another man in Campbellfield last night (22 May).
Emergency services were called to an address on Augusta Avenue about 9.10pm after reports a man had been stabbed.
A 61-year-old Campbellfield man was located with injuries and treated by paramedics, however died at the scene.
Two other men were both arrested nearby.
One of them, a 42-year-old from Campbellfield, has since been charged with one count of murder.
He has been remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today (23 May).
A 51-year-old man, also from Campbellfield, has been released without charge.
