Homicide Squad detectives have charged a man following the death of an 80-year-old man in Castlemaine this morning.
A 53-year-old Castlemaine man was interviewed by detectives and this evening charged with one count of murder.
He was remanded to appear before the Bendigo Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
The charge follows the discovery of an 80-year-old man’s body at his Wimble Street address about 10.45am.
The parties were believed to be known to each other.
