Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man after a cyclist was hit by a truck in Dookie two months ago.
Police were called to reports of a cyclist being struck during a bicycle race on Dookie-Devenish Road about 11.55 am on 21 September.
The rider, a 38-year-old Shepparton woman, was taken to hospital in a serious condition.
The driver of the truck, a 55-year-old New South Wales man, was uninjured and stopped at the scene.
The intersection of Dookie-Devenish Road was closed to traffic.
A traffic marshall of the event, a 29-year-old Shepparton man, was arrested and charged with negligently causing injury and perjury.
He has been bailed to appear at Shepparton Magistrates’ on 21 November.
