Police charge man after double ramming

Police have charged a 21-year-old man after two police cars were allegedly rammed by a stolen vehicle in Melbourne’s southern suburbs early yesterday morning (1 August).

The incident occurred in Frankston South about 1.30am and the man fled on foot before being arrested by police.

He has been charged with;

• Four counts of aggravated international exposure of police office to risk by driving

• Dangerous driving whilst pursued by police

• Theft of motor vehicle

• Three counts of theft from motor vehicle

• Unlicenced driving

• Possess Controlled Weapon without excuse

• Possess Methyl Amphetamine

• Two counts of resist police officer

• Commit indictable offence whilst on bail

• Aggravated reckless exposure of police officer to risk by driving

• Reckless conduct endanger serious injury

• Two counts of dangerous driving whilst pursued by police

• Assault police officer

• Two aggravated reckless exposure of police officer to risk by driving

• Reckless conduct endangering serious injury

• Damage police cells

The man of no fixed address will appear at Melbourne Magistrates Court today.
