Detectives from the Homicide Squad have today charged a man following the death of a woman in Shepparton last year.
A 29-year-old man was arrested this afternoon and has subsequently been charged with negligent manslaughter.
He will appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.
The charges follow an incident at a property on McCubbin Drive in Shepparton on 1 April, 2023.
A 27-year-old Shepparton woman was located with a gunshot wound and died at the scene.
The parties involved in the incident were known to each other.
