A man has been charged after allegedly setting two vehicles alight and firing a shotgun at them in Sydney’s north west yesterday.
Just before 11pm (Saturday 16 January 2021), emergency services were called to a home on Mileham Street, South Windsor, after reports of a domestic-related incident.
Police will allege in court that a group of men were at the house, before two of them, who are both occupants, became involved in an argument.
After the group left the house, the 46-year-old occupant allegedly set a Nissan utility and motorcycle on fire out the front of the home, before firing multiple shotgun rounds at them.
No one was injured during the incident.
Officers from Hawkesbury Police Area Command arrived a short time later and arrested the man, and NSW Fire and Rescue extinguished the blaze.
A crime scene was established, and a search warrant was executed, where officers seized a firearm, ammunition, two magazines with rounds and documentation.
The man was taken to Windsor Police Station and charged with possess unregistered unauthorised prohibited firearm in public place, fire firearm in or near public place (DV) and damage property by fire.
He was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Bail Court today (Sunday 17 January 2021).
