Police Charge Man With Drug Supply At Muswellbrook

A man will face court today charged with drug supply in the state’s north.

In February 2024, Hunter Valley Police District detectives established Strike Force Smollett to investigate the alleged supply of prohibited drugs in Muswellbrook.

About 11.50am yesterday (Friday 12 April 2024), police searched a vehicle suspected of being used in drug supply.

Police allegedly located a quantity of drugs in the vehicle and arrested the 36-year-old driver.

He was taken to Muswellbrook Police Station where he was charged with:

– Supply prohibited drug » large commercial;

– Supply prohibited drug » commercial

– Two counts of ongoing supply of prohibited drug

– Supply » indictable quantity

– Supply prohibited drug » indictable quantity

– Supply prohibited drug « indictable quantity

– Supply prescribed restricted substance

– Receive stolen property

He was refused bail to appear before Newcastle Local Court today (Saturday 13 April 2024).
