Police charge three after Shepparton burglaries

Excellent work by detectives from Shepparton Crime Investigation unit has led to the arrest of three men following a series of residential and commercial burglaries.

Search warrants were executed at properties in Shepparton and Werribee on Monday 15 January after an extensive investigation by detectives.

During the warrants police located an assortment of power tools valued in excess of $100,000, an allegedly stolen trailer, an allegedly stolen motorcycle, home appliances, building supplies, 80 grams of methylamphetamine, three litres of GHB and $48,000.

Two Shepparton men, a 32-year-old and a 34-year-old, along with a 50-year-old Werribee man have been charged with traffick drug of dependence, possess drug of dependence, handle stolen goods, burglary and theft.

The Werribee man appeared at Shepparton Magistrates’ Court today while the Shepparton men have been remanded to appear on 17 January.

Owners are yet to be identified for all of the allegedly stolen property and police are keen to speak to anyone who believes the property may be theirs.
