Police charge two after affray in Mascot

Two men have been charged after an alleged affray at Mascot overnight.

It was just before 11pm (Friday 4 April 2020), when emergency services were called to a report that two men were fighting at a unit on Botany Road.

Officers from South Sydney Police Area Command attended and arrested the men, aged 41 and 34.

Police have been told the men were involved in an argument then – in a subsequent struggle – they fell through a window with both men suffering cuts to their arms.

The younger man refused treatment and was taken to Mascot Police Station where he was charged with affray, and breach of bail.

He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court today (Saturday 4 April 2020).

The older man was treated by paramedics and taken to Prince of Wales Hospital for further treatment.

He was later served with a Court Attendance Notice for the offence of affray and given conditional bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Monday 22 June 2020.
