Police investigate affray in Pascoe Vale

Merri-bek Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following an affray in Pascoe Vale on 9 September.

It is believed a 75-year-old man and his wife were having a meal at a licensed premises on Railway Parade when a group of six men got into a fight with another group, about 9.30pm.

During the brawl, the Sunbury man was knocked off his chair, hit his head on the table and fell to the ground.

He sustained a serious hip injury and was taken to hospital, later requiring surgery.

His wife, a 76-year-old Sunbury woman sustained minor injuries and was also taken to hospital for treatment.

No one else was injured.

The group of men involved in the brawl left the scene before police arrived.

The offenders are all described as in their mid 30’s – 40’s and described as being Caucasian in appearance.

Police have released CCTV images of a group of men they believe can help assist with their enquiries.
