Prahran Highway Patrol officers are appealing for witnesses and dashcam after a car struck a pedestrian in South Melbourne this morning.
The pedestrian was hit by a blue Volkswagen Golf travelling southbound on Kings Way just after 3am.
The yet-to-be-formally identified man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the car, a man in his 30’s, stopped at the scene and was spoken to by police.
Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time who may have witnessed the collision or with dashcam to come forward.
The investigation into the collision is ongoing.
