Police investigate aggravated burglary in Footscray

Maribyrnong Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance as they continue to investigate an aggravated burglary in Footscray earlier this year.

It is understood two men arrived at a property on Ballarat Road and woke the victims up by banging on the front door about 2.30am on 25 June.

Police were told two male offenders smashed the front windows of the property, then walked down the side of the house and forced entry through a side door.

Once inside an adjoining office space, the offenders attempted to gain entry to the main part of the house before removing a CCTV camera from the wall.

There were no injuries, and nothing was taken during the incident.

Investigators have released CCTV and images of two men they believe may be able to assist with the investigation.

The first man is described as medium build with dark hair and facial hair.

He was wearing a light-coloured hoodie and pants.

The second man is described as being of lean build and clean shaven with dark eyebrows.

He was seen wearing a puffer jacket, light coloured pants, a backwards cap and glasses.
