Police investigate armed robbery at Aitkenvale

Detectives are investigating, following the armed robbery of a service station in Aitkenvale overnight.

At around 10pm a man entered the business on Nathan Street, armed with a small knife.

The man demanded money and cigarettes from a staff member, before fleeing the scene on foot.

No one was physically injured during the robbery.

The man is described as Aboriginal in appearance, aged in his late 50s or early 60s, approximately 170cm tall and of a heavy build.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police.
