Police investigate armed robbery at Bowen Hills 26 April

Detectives have released CCTV footage, appealing for public assistance to identify the offender in an armed robbery of a business in Bowen Hills last Sunday (April 24).

At around 11.15am a man entered the Campbell Street grocery store, threatened the male and female employees with a knife and demanded cash.

The man stole a quantity of cash and fled on foot towards Montpellier Street and the Bowen Hills Railway Station.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance with an olive complexion, 165cm tall, slim build, in his 20’s with brown hair and distinct left side part.

He was wearing a white t-shirt with a black ‘Nike’ brand logo with ‘Just do it’ writing, black pants, red shoes and a blue face mask. He was carrying a black satchel.

Police are appealing for motorists and businesses along Campbell Street and Montpellier Roads to check dashcam and CCTV between 10:45am and 11.30am and come forward with any sightings.

Anonymous reports about the man’s identity can also be made.
