Police investigate armed robbery at East Perth

Perth Detectives are investigating an Armed Robbery that occurred in East Perth last night, Friday 19 July 2019.

Around 9pm, a man in his 20’s was inside a vehicle on Summers Street East Perth. He was parked on the side of the road, when a male opened the driver’s door and produced a bladed weapon. The weapon was placed against the victim’s neck and the man demanded his wallet and mobile phone. The victim was punched in the face before the male dragged him out of the car. The man got into the driver’s seat, another man got in the front passenger seat and they left the scene in the victim’s vehicle, blue Toyota Yaris hatchback.

The first man is described as: Light skinned, thin build, approximately 183cm tall with a beard and moustache. He was wearing a grey beanie, light coloured jacket and dark long pants.

The second man is described as: Light skinned, wearing a dark coloured top.

The same vehicle, was involved in a traffic crash near the intersection of Great Eastern Highway Bypass and Roe Highway Midvale around 5.50am this morning, Saturday 20 July 2019. The driver and a passenger were seen leaving the scene before police arrived.
