Police investigate armed robbery at Rochedale

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a convenience store at Rochedale yesterday afternoon.

Around 2.15pm two males wearing masks and armed with a knife and a hammer entered the Belmore Drive business and jumped the counter. The males threatened the 21-year-old store employee and made demands for money from the till.

The males obtained money and cigarettes before fleeing the store and leaving on push bikes.

The store employee was not physically injured in the incident.

Investigations are ongoing.
