Police investigate attempted armed robbery at Stones Corner

Detectives investigating an attempted armed robbery at Stones Corner yesterday afternoon are appealing for public assistance to identify a man depicted in CCTV.

At 2pm today, a man entered a drive through bottle shop on Logan Road and produced a knife.

He then threatened the 31-year-old male shop attendant and demanded money from the cash register before leaving the business empty handed.

The shop attendant was not physically injured during the incident.

Police are appealing for anyone who may know the identity of the man pictured to please make contact.

He is described as Caucasian, 170cm tall with an olive complexion, a flat nose and wearing a black baseball cap, black windbreaker jacket, black undershirt, black long pants and had a plaster cast on his left arm.

Investigations are ongoing.
