Armed Crime Squad detectives are investigating a firearms incident in Broadmeadows this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Pascoe Vale Road following reports a man had suffered a gunshot wound on Sunday 28 September about 3.45pm.
The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Police later attended a property on Bindi Street in Glenroy to make further enquiries and a secondary crime scene is now in place.
At this stage no arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
