Police investigate Doncaster burglary and mail theft

Manningham Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating following a burglary and theft of mail that occurred in Doncaster last month.

Investigators have been told the unknown offender entered the apartment complex on Hepburn Road on Tuesday 19 October about 2am.

The offender then entered the mail room situated on the ground floor and gained access to a number of locked containers, before stealing mail and packages.

Access was then made to the buildings underground carpark before the offender broke into a number of storage cages, stealing a suitcase before leaving the building via the front door.

Detectives have released CCTV footage and images of a person they believe will be able to assist police with the investigation.

At the time, the person was wearing a grey beanie, black t-shirt, blue runners and black pants and is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance with a stocky build.
