Police investigate robbery at Christie Downs, South Australia

Police are investigating a robbery at Christie Downs which saw two men taken to hospital.

Just after 5am on Saturday 8 August, patrols were called to the intersection of Morton Road and Flaxmill Road after two men were assaulted and robbed by a group of eight persons. One victim was in the head with a bottle and punched in the face while the other victim had his face spray painted. The group then stole a portable speaker and were running off in an easterly direction.

A search of the area failed to locate the suspects who are described as being Caucasian and in their late teens.

The 20-year-old victims, both from the southern suburbs, were taken to the Noarlunga hospital with minor injuries.
