Police investigate robbery at Ipswich Motorway in Wacol, QLD

Detectives are searching for a man who assaulted another man on the Ipswich Motorway yesterday morning.

Around 7am a 34-year-old man from Yamanto was travelling inbound after the Progress Road overpass in a white Nissan Navara and has noticed a car following behind and driving aggressively.

The man has pulled over and the two drivers have confronted each other.

A verbal confrontation quickly escalated with the driver of the second vehicle which is described as a red Mercedes-Benz Sprinter.

The driver of the second vehicle has struck the 34-year-old man twice in the face, resulting in bruising and swelling.

He has then continued to assault the man before removing the 34-year-old man’s keys from the ignition and has left the scene in his own vehicle, travelling inbound along the Ipswich Motorway.

Detectives are appealing for anyone that may have seen this incident or has dashcam footage to contact police.
