Police investigate serious assault at Brisbane CBD

Police are investigating the wounding of a 16-year-old boy in Brisbane CBD last night.

Around 10.30pm yesterday (September 25) police responded to a disturbance between the boy and three other people on Queen Street.

Upon arrival police located the boy who had been punched and then sustained puncture wounds to his torso and back.

He was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for treatment to his injuries, where he remains.

A crime scene was declared, and investigations are ongoing.

Anyone who witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area is urged to contact police.
