Police investigate sexual touching in Turramurra

Police are appealing for information following a sexual touching in Sydney’s Upper North Shore last week.

About 12.30am on Friday 24 December 2021, a 19-year-old woman was walking along the Ku-Ring-gai Avenue at Turramurra, when an unknown man grabbed her from behind and pulled her backwards and onto the ground before sexually touching her.

The man ran from the scene and was last seen running south on the Pacific Highway towards Warragul Road.

Officers from Kuring Gai Police Area Command were notified and commenced an investigation.

As part of ongoing inquiries, police have released an image of a man who appears to be following the woman on the Pacific Highway shortly before the assault, who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

He’s described as being of medium height and build, with dark hair. At the time, he was wearing a black and white checked long-sleeve shirt, light-coloured shorts, black shoes and a black beanie.
