Melbourne Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a fire in Southbank yesterday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to a building fire on Clarendon Street just after 4pm.
No one was inside the building at the time of the incident.
The exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined and an arson chemist is expected to attend the scene this morning.
The fire is being treated as suspicious at this stage.
