Police are investigating a theft that occurred in Wantirna South last month.
A man entered the store at a shopping centre on Burwood Highway about 4pm on 11 July.
He filled a trolley with a number of items and left the store without paying.
After he left the store, a staff member approached the man who became verbally aggressive towards the staff member.
The matter was reported to police and police have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
At the time of the offence, he was wearing a black beanie, green jacket and dark pants.
