Police investigate trailer theft in Cranbourne West

Detectives from Casey Crime Investigation Unit are investigating the theft of a freighter trailer and equipment worth almost $180,000 from Cranbourne West last month.

The incident occurred outside a property on Gwen Close sometime between 11pm on 25 November and 1am on 26 November.

It’s believed offenders approached the parked trailer in an unknown white Volvo prime mover.

The offenders stole equipment from a nearby truck to connect the trailer to their own vehicle before taking off with the trailer.

Investigators have today released CCTV footage and images of the stolen trailer in the hope someone may recognise it and come forward.

The trailer had Victorian registration plates 98472 S.

Detectives are also keen to speak to several people who are captured driving in the area at the time of the offence, in the hope that they may have dashcam footage of the unknown prime mover.
