Police lay charges – Aggravated robbery at Casuarina 23 November

Northern Territory Police have charged a youth in relation to a robbery at a business in Casuarina yesterday.

At around 2:30pm, four female youths entered the business, with one youth allegedly assaulting an employee before a member of the public intervened. The youth then allegedly made threats with an edged weapon before fleeing the scene.

Detectives from the Serious Crime Squad arrested two 16-year-old females yesterday afternoon. One was released pending further investigation while the other was charged with:

  • Aggravated robbery
  • Aggravated assault
  • Going armed in public

She was remanded to face court today.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Malogorski said, “Investigations are ongoing and two youths are still outstanding.

“Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident to contact police on 131 444. Please quote reference 9854878.”
