Police lay charges – aggravated robbery – Palmerston 13 October

Northern Territory Police have arrested a man for aggravated robbery in Palmerston.

Police allege that in the early hours of Saturday 10 October 2020 the 27-year-old approached a man in Goyder Square and punched the victim twice, rendering him unconscious before stealing his wallet and phone.

Police CCTV operators observed the incident and noticed the victim was unresponsive, directing police and ambulance to his location. The victim was conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital.

The 27-year-old male was later arrested at his home address by Serious Crime detectives. He appeared in the Darwin Local Court charged with aggravated robbery and was remanded in custody until 9 December 2020.
